Hackforge is home to many small, self-governing communities. Known as
Interest Groups,
each of these communities focus on a specific topic, tool, or technology.
These groups are the heartbeat of the Hackforge community. They are where people meet to share knowledge, collaborate on projects, and build lasting professional and personal networks.
How Do They Work?
While every group has its own style, they all share a few common traits:
Volunteer Led
Each group is managed by a volunteer “Champion” who organizes topics and facilitates meetings.
Open To All
You don’t need to be an expert to join an event! Whether you are a senior developer or just curious about the topic, you are welcome here.
Mission Driven
Every group supports our mission to build tech capacity by championing diversity, creativity, and mutual respect.
Regular Meetings
Most groups meet monthly—online or in-person—while keeping the conversation active 24/7 on Discord.
