Have you ever wondered how a shell works under the hood? Are you interested in knowing how to create your very own shell? Then please join us for the first, and hopefully not the last, joint WCCUG and LUG presentation all about the shell!

Before we dive in, we’ll go over the history and fundamentals of shells.

Then, we’ll be exploring how to create your own shell written in the C programming language.

Prerequisites
Some experience with the command line, other shells, and programming concepts will aid in understanding the material, but is not a strict requirement.

We hope you’ll join us in learning what the shell is all about!
